It is officially spring now since 2 days and even though weather is still not 100% stable, it is time to start putting together your casual spring look so you are all set for the next sunny weekend. I want to keep it simple and will limit it to a few pieces, mostly accessories this time, which you can easily combine with your current wardrobe.
Your 4 must-haves for your casual spring/summer 2016 look:
- A pair of espadrilles (e.g. from Maypol or from Michael Kors)
- A pair of round(ish) frame or material mix sunglasses (e.g. from & other stories)
- A crosshatch mini bucket bag (e.g. from Ted Baker)
- A (long or short) jumpsuit (e.g. from COS or from Street One)
Products from left to right: Maypol Sacha espadrilles yellow from Euros 69.95 at humanic (shop here), & other stories material-mixed sunglasses from Euros 25 (shop here), Ted Baker Ersilda crosshatch leather mini bucket bag from Euros 158 (limited offer, shop here), COS Stripe Jumpsuit from Euros 69 (shop here).
Espadrilles are ultimate summer shoes and go well with the still popular skinny jeans but also flowy skirts or jumpsuits. I have never owned a jumpsuit before but there are several cute models out there this season, and it is just a comfy garment – one piece and you are dressed. You will find a lot of backbags in the stores this season but I do like the mini bucket bag much more. Last but not least – there is no cool spring/summer look without the right sunglasses. Time to get new ones if you are still wearing your Ray Ban Wayfarers. They will never go out of fashion so don’t throw them away but really, it is time for some change!
